Noticeboard

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We are experiencing further computer problems. This is a national ongoing problem and out of our control. We are unable to access patient records and appointments at times. Please only contact the surgery if it is an urgent matter. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.

In the departure of Dr Seddon in November 2018 we are having to change the way we work at Balance Street Practice as there is a National shortage of GPs. We have a small pool of regular locum GPs to ensure continuity as best as possible. Our Reception team will be asking the reason for your call, this is to direct you to the best and most appropriate care. We kindly ask patients to bear with us as this difficult time.

Many Thanks from the Partners & Staff at Balance Street Practice.

Our next Staff Training Day is 24th September 2019. The practice will close from 1:30. Dispensary will be closed from 1:30-4:30.

**NEW** Our practice is involved with a new Living Well program - please check back soon for more information under "clinics & services"

Temporary Registration

If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.

To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
