Welcome to Balance Street Health Centre.

Important Information: Dr Seddon's departure

Following the departure of Dr Seddon at the end of November 2018, we hope that you can bear with us until we find a replacement GP.
Due to the ever increasing demands on primary care nationally, we’re all having to make changes to the way we work in General Practice. You will find that our Reception Team will ask key questions so that they are able to triage your call to the most suitable member of the primary care team.
We have appointed a small number of regular GPs and Nurse practitioner locums who have the skill sets to meet your continuity of care at this difficult time.
Because of the situation we find ourselves in we have sign posted Dr Seddon's patients, but are unable to provide you with another Partner at the practice due to the existing Doctors lists being at capacity.
Balance Street Practice is the only practice in East Staffordshire to still offer a personal list and although this is our preferred method of working we are unable to accommodate individual requests to change GP.

Thank you for your patience from all the Partners at Balance Street Practice.

Our next Staff Training Day is 7th February 2019. The practice will close from 1:30. Dispensary will be closed from 1:30-4:30.

**NEW** Our practice is involved with a new Living Well program - please check back soon for more information under "clinics & services"

Temporary Registration

If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.

To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
