District Nurses
District Nurses are available to deliver nursing care to patients at home who are housebound or during an acute illness. Your Doctor will authorise for a District Nurse to visit if required. The District Nurses are also able to provide nursing care at the surgery for acute illnesses and dressings.

Health Visitors
Health Visitors are available to offer advice on a variety of health issues including babies and young children. They are also able to offer health promotion for smoking cessation.
Midwife
The midwife is linked to Queens Hospital and works closely with the Doctors to provide antenatal care to our patients. The midwife holds a clinic within the practice Monday and Thursday mornings and appointments can be made by contacting the receptionists.
Psychotherapist
At Balance Street we have a visiting psychotherapist who is highly qualified and a member of the BACP & UKCP.
Balance Street offers,
- Individual therapy
- Couple therapy
An assessment is by the psychotherapist made prior to the start of therapy sessions. Fees are available on request.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Service
In 2003 we were delighted to be involved with a pioneering Cardiac Rehabilitation Service through close work with Queen's Hospital Burton and East Staffs PCT.
Patients who have had heart attacks or heart surgery will now be able to have their rehabilitation at the surgery rather than a 40 mile round trip to the hospital.
